Refund & Return Policy

Dry fruits are perishable consumable goods. Returns are strictly limited and permitted only in genuine cases verified by our Quality Team. The decision of Mewa Mitra Private Limited on any return claim shall be final and binding.

1. Overview

We take pride in delivering fresh, high-quality dry fruits and nuts. Since our products are food items, we maintain a strict return policy to protect all customers and prevent misuse.

2. Return Eligibility

  • Returns are accepted within 32 hours of delivery only under the following conditions:

    • Product received is damaged or tampered with
    • Wrong item, variant, or quantity delivered
    • Product is expired or past its Best Before date at the time of delivery
    • Verifiable manufacturing or packaging defect

     

    Strict 32-Hour Window

    • Return requests must be raised within 32 hours of the delivery timestamp recorded by our logistics partner.

    Requests after this window will not be accepted under any circumstances.

3. Non-Returnable Items

  • Bulk quantity orders
  • Products opened, used, or partially consumed without a valid quality complaint
  • Complaints based on personal taste preference
  • Products purchased during sales or with special discounts (unless defective)
  • Products where original packaging, FSSAI label, or batch code has been removed or damaged
  • Orders cancelled after dispatch

    Natural Variation Is Not a Defect

    Dry fruits naturally vary in size, colour, and texture. These are inherent product characteristics and do not qualify as defects or grounds for return.

4. Mandatory Proof Requirements

All return claims must include:

  • Order ID and proof of purchase
  • Clear photos of the product, packaging, and batch/label details
  • For orders above Rs. 1,500: an unboxing video is mandatory. Claims without it will be rejected.
  • For all other orders: an unboxing video is strongly recommended

    Claims submitted without adequate proof will be rejected. We strongly recommend recording an unboxing video for every order.

5. How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return, contact us at info@mewamitra.com with your order details. Include:

  • Subject: RETURN REQUEST — Order ID [Your Order Number]
  • Your name, registered mobile number, and a description of the issue
  • All mandatory photos and/or unboxing video

Our team will review your request within 3–5 business days and communicate next steps. Incomplete requests will not be processed.

6. Return Process

  • Submit return request at info@mewamitra.com within 32 hours of delivery with all evidence
  • Quality Team reviews claim within 3–5 business days
  • If approved, we arrange pickup or request you to dispatch the product
  • Refund or replacement processed after inspection

Return Abuse — Zero Tolerance

–   Repeated return requests will be flagged and investigated.

–   Accounts found misusing the return policy may be blacklisted, restricted from COD, or permanently suspended.

–   If fraud is detected after a refund is issued, we reserve the right to recover the amount through legal means.

7. Refund Method & Timelines       

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method only. No cash refunds.

  • UPI / Net Banking / Debit Card: 5–7 business days
  • Credit Card: 7–10 business days (subject to your bank)
  • Store Credit / Wallet: within 24 hours of approval

8. Order Cancellation

Before Dispatch

Email info@mewamitra.com with your Order ID. Full refund will be issued within 5–7 business days if payment was made.

After Dispatch

Orders cannot be cancelled after dispatch. Refusing delivery will be treated as an RTO event and shipping charges will be deducted from any refund.

Cancellation by Mewa Mitra

We reserve the right to cancel orders due to stock unavailability, pricing errors, suspected fraud, or infeasible delivery. A full refund will be issued in such cases.
